Domestic Violence


Domestic violence has remained a pervasive and devastating crisis in our nation for generations. The silence surrounding this issue has allowed countless lives to be shattered and many more to be placed at immeasurable risk. While society often struggles to confront the magnitude of domestic violence, its consequences continue to unfold in catastrophic and life-altering ways.


Eradicating domestic violence requires more than awareness—it demands the courage to acknowledge its complexity, the willingness to intervene, and the commitment to support those affected with compassion and precision.


Survivors are trapped in cycles of fear, manipulation, and systemic barriers that make safety feel out of reach. Yet, within every survivor is the resilience to begin again when the right supports are in place.


Domestic Violence is not simply an issue- it is a lived reality for millions. Lynn's story reflects this painful truth. After, enduring nine years of severe domestic abuse, her life changed, when her husband was murdered- just 48 hours after threatening her life. Her experience includes repeated beatings, strangulation, sexual violence, false imprisonment, and even being dragged on a highway while pregnant. These acts of brutality were compounded by emotional, psychological, and verbal abuse.

Racial Injustice & Disparities


Every citizen of the United States is guaranteed fundamental "Civil Rights" under the Constitution and Federal Law. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 affirmed legal protections against discrimination, strengthened equal access to education and public facilities, and prohibited workplace discrimination. Still, the lived experience of many communities to reflect inequality, vulnerability, and systemic disparities.


Our nation continues to confront the catastrophic consequences of racism and discrimination- senseless killings, disproportionate incarceration rates, unfair treatment, economic disparities, and intentional acts of harm. These injustices create "generational wounds" that require both courageous advocacy and structural change.


We cannot allow our voices to be silenced while injustice continues to unfold around us. Justice requires not only acknowledgment- but action.



Workplace Injustice & Domestic Violence in the Workplace


The workplace is often the hidden intersection where domestic violence, discrimination, and systemic inequities collide.


Victims of domestic violence face:


  • Intimidation or harassment at work.
  • Fear of jobs loss due to court dates, injuries, or retaliation.
  • Unsafe work environments when abusers show up at their workplace.
  • Lack of accommodations or understanding from employers.
  • Workplace discrimination due to trauma, mental health impacts, or perceived instability.


Domestic violence does not stay at home, it follows victims into their professional lives, jeopardizing employment, economic stability, and safety.


Organizations must recognize their responsibility to create protective, trauma-informed workplace environments where employees are supported, not punished, for circumstances beyond their control. Protecting victims in the workplace is not only a moral imperative; it is a central to maintaining a safe, equitable, and legally compliant workforce.


When workplaces stand with victims, safety increases, productivity strengthens, and lives are saved.



The Call to Action


If we allow our voices to be weakened,
